Blending the spirit of the jazz tradition with genre-spanning influences, Jago's Australian roots and deep musical storytelling shine through a dynamic set of originals and reimagined standards. Featuring longtime collaborators Mark Small (sax), Martin Bejerano (keys), Dion Kerr (bass), and David Chiverton (drums), the album showcases a seasoned ensemble with years of shared chemistry. Time Shift is a must-have for jazz shelves-modern, soulful, and full of artistic depth.

What makes Time Shift stand out is it's emotional honesty and creative range. Jago uses the album as a vehicle to explore life's unpredictable turns-those moments when time seems to bend, speed up, or stand still. It's a reflection on identity, memory, and transformation, all filtered through his deeply melodic and rhythmically inventive guitar work. With each track, the band navigates shifting grooves, open harmonic landscapes, and intuitive interplay, offering listeners a compelling blend of structure and spontaneity. For record store buyers, this is more than a debut-it's an artist arriving with vision, maturity, and something truly meaningful to say.

Track List

Time Shift

Calypso'ish

Soil to Sky

Major

Bernie's Tune

Body and Soul

Fine Line

Kind Minded

Shop online 24/7 at Darkside Records.

Follow us on Instagram.
